| Remarks | This was exhibited in the group exhibition “Shinshitsukai-ten”. I applied 15 coats of yellowish-green first and 25 coats of brown on the surface, for a total of 40 coats of colored urushi. Then I engraved it. I sprinkled gold powder on the heads of the field horsetails (tsukushi). The edge of the backside bottom of the tray is sprinkled with kanshitsu-powder (powdered hardened urushi) to prevent scratching, and then coated with black urushi. |
