  • Linen cloths for kanshitsu - linen cloths for the core of kanshitsu body were applied with glue lacquer.

  • I made those sieves before and they were made of two types of thin metal mesh sheets, #100 and #120, cut and affixed to the tubes and hardened with urushi (Japanese lacquer).

  • The new bristles for urushi (Japanese lacquer) are hardened, so they are loosened by gently tapping them with a hammer while dipping them in water.
