ABOUT
After studying Urushi art in Kagawa Prefecture, I focused primarily on exhibiting in public and
group exhibitions for about 10 years.
Following a 13-year hiatus starting in 2011 to raise my three children, I gradually resumed
my creative practice in the spring of 2024.
I strive to create works that serve as a bridge between the past and the future, all while
respecting the inherent beauty of urushi (Japanese lacquer).

- Studied under Makoto Matsumoto (Western-style painter)
- Completed the Postgraduate Course at the Kagawa Prefectural Lacquer Art Research Institute
- Studied under Shozo Kitaoka (Urushi artist)
