| Remarks | It represents a single drop of water falling on the surface of water and spreading
water patterns.
I applied a total of 31 layers of colored urushi, starting with 15 layers of white, followed by 15 layers of white to light blue gradient, with one blue layer in between. Then I carved it. The inside is black. The edge of the backside bottom of the tray is sprinkled with kanshitsu-powder (powdered hardened urushi) to prevent scratching, and then coated with black urushi. |
